<aside> 📱 App comparison is a function that allows you to compare data of up to 10 apps. You can monitor the numbers of applications that you want to benchmark.

You can register the targeted apps as a set to be compared in the collection and then access it any time to compare data.

How to use Compare Apps

First, go to App Analysis › App Comparison in the side menu. Please select the application you want to compare from My Apps, browsing history, search bar. You can select up to 6 apps to compare.

When you have finished searching or selecting the application you want to compare, click on the button Compare to begin. You can deselect the selected application with the link X Clear All.

Allows you to compare metrics such as MAU, DAU or Time Spent at a glance for up to 10 apps. Click See More for details.

Add to Compare Apps Collection

After setting the application (up to 10 application max) on the Compare Apps page. To save your set of apps select the button Save as Collection in the upper right. You can interchange apps at any time.

When you click the button Save as Collection a popup will appear. When the popup appears, click Add new collection.

You can enter a title to any collection (up to 20 characters) and when you finish, select the button Save Changes to complete.

Even if you register only 1 collection, that 1 set of collection will display at the top page of your Compare Apps Collection.

Overwrite a saved Collection

You can overwrite and save to a collection that has already been registered. After selecting the application you want to overwrite, click the button Save in the Compare Apps Collection. When mousing over an existing collection, the word Save over this collection will appear, from clicking, you may overwrite your previous set.

Click to overwrite the collection, edit the collection title and click the button Save Changes to complete.

The module containing the Compare Apps Collection has a button to Edit, clicking the button, a popup will appear for you to edit your set of apps.

To edit a collection name:

Place the cursor on the collection you want to edit, click Edit collection title, enter a new collection name and then click the Save changes button.

How to delete:

Within the popup called Change Title or Delete Collection, select which set you want to delete and then select the button Delete.

You can also Cancel the deletion process by selecting the X Cancel link.

X an app from a set collection

First, select the collection you want to change.

Second, within the selected 10 apps, there is an X button at the top right of all the 10 selected apps. You can select the x button to remove any unwanted app and replace it from My Apps, the browsing history, or the search bar.

Once a new app is selected and added, you can either reselect the button Save as Collection to overwrite the original collection or save the set as a new collection if you have not reached the set limit.

Types of app data that can be compared

1. App Overview

The app icon is displayed. You can also return to the previous page by clicking the select apps button.

2. Monthly Active Users (MAU)

Shows the number of users who have launched the selected apps at least once a month. Click See More for details.

3. Weekly Active User (WAU)

Shows the number of users who have launched the selected apps at least once in a week. Click See More for details.

4. Daily Active User (DAU)

Shows the number of users who have launched the selected apps at least once in a day. Click See More for details.

5. Demographics

Demographics of users of the select app. Click See More for details.

6. Usage Frequency

Shows the classification of users based on usage frequency. Click See More for details.

7. Demographic by User Status

Demographics by user status (light, middle, heavy). Click See More for details.

※ Not available for Android+iOS.

8. Time Spent

Shows the time spent on selected apps (total time spent, average monthly time spent, average daily time spent). Click See More for details.

9. Hourly Active User (HAU)

Shows the peak hour at which the selected app is most used. Click See More for details.

10. Activation Count

Shows number of times a user launches the selected app within a day. Click See More for details.

11. New Users

Shows the number of new users of the subject app during the target period. Click See More for details.

12. Active Installs

Shows the number of users who have an app installed on their device during a given period. Users who have launched an app even once within a specific period are counted as active installs. Click See More for details.

13. Monthly Active Rate

Shows the ratio between the number of users using an application and the number of users who have the app installed during a given period. Click See More for details.

The number of users who have launched the target app at least once a month.

The number of users who have launched the target app more than once during the applicable week (Monday - Sunday).

The number of users who have launched the target app more than once on a corresponding day.

2. Average Monthly / Weekly DAU History

1. Hourly Active Users (HAU)

The number of users who have launched the app is displayed for each applicable time of day.

2. Average Monthly / Weekly / HAU History

The monthly and weekly average number of active users by the hour is displayed.

3. HAU by Day

Monthly average HAU by Day among the users who installed the selected app.

1. Percentage of Users by Frequency of Use

Light User: users who used an app less than 1/3 of the month

Middle User: users who used an app between 1/3 to 2/3 of the month

Heavy User: users who used an app between more than 2/3 of the month

Changes in user status by frequency of use.
